I graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. However, my passion is in aviation and aeronautics. How can I get into Aerospace Engineering field? Should I go back for a second undergraduate major (Bachelor of Science/Mechanical engineer) or can i get a masters in in engineering with a B.B.A. Would it be worth going back?

Chris, only you can decide if doing another undergraduate degree is worth while --- this is because only you can properly gauge your passion for aeronautics. If you have a fire in your belly for aeronautics, go for it BUT only after considering what is involved. If you decide to do a bachelor or mechanical engineering degree [with an aeronautics specialization] or a bachelor of aeronautical engineering, your business degree will not be wasted. More and more of an engineer's time is spend on management and marketing tasks. When I studied electrical engineering, I did an avionics biased course and this exposed me to aeronautical engineering in general --- it is endlessly interesting. Before you enrol in an engineering course, make sure that you fully understand that such courses are mainly applied mathematics and physics [at an advanced level]. Read the Wikipedia entry for aeronautical engineering and engineering in general. Also consult books such as "Which College" to find the most suitable engineering school.

I do believe that you will have to go back and get a second degree. They might give you credit for some of the course work that you took to get your business degree. The only way you are going to find out is to contact the admissions office of a university. Colleges do not have Masters programs. If you can pull it off, I would go for it.

You cannot enrol in a Masters program in any engineering field with a BBA in Marketing. I suggest you get a second undergraduate engineering degree -- probably Mech or Elec Eng'g -- before you can get accepted to any Engineering Masters program. Hope this helps.
