This isn't really an either-or choice. While there is an M.S. in Marketing which is primarily useful for jobs in Marketing Research, the primary master's degree in Marketing is the MBA with a concentration in Marketing.

Get the MBA with a specialization in Marketing. Unless you are all ready in the Marketing field, then the best bet would be to specialize directly to the field.

Masters Degree in Marketing (Branding, Promotional Campaigns) instead of Marketing in General

Masters Degree in Marketing (Branding, Promotional Campaigns) instead of Marketing in General?
Are their universities in the US or the UK that offer a Masters Degree (Of Science or Business) in Marketing (Branding, Promotional Campaigns)... instead of Marketing in General as a Masters Degree? I have found places that offer MBA's in Marketing only, with no majoring in specific aspects of the marketing process.

There are programs that offer market specific areas of specialization. While the degree may read general marketing, the classes may all be concentrated in a particular area. I have a marketing/management masters. My area of specialization was marketing management. There are specializations in international marketing, marketing strategy, research marketing and more. The Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas offers a very prestigious marketing program that is world reknowned. Contact them for specific information.

Masters in Marketing or MBA

Masters in Marketing or MBA?
I want to work in Brand Management or Integrated Marketing Communications... Just finished applying to a slew of to MBA programs and realized that I'm most interested in Marketing. Suggestions? Is Medil's program at Northwestern worthwhile? Is getting hired easier with an MBA?

I can say that a) Medill has a wonderful reputation and b) the students I knew while I was at Northwestern (I was studying something else) were very happy with the program. Also, a lot of MBA programs allow you to specialize and focus on certain interests, so it's not necessarily an either/or.
